Mission Statement

Our mission statement is: We are a focus driven magazine targeting a niche in a positive manner by providing 18 to 29 year olds a voice through a community magazine specially suited towards their interests and abilities.

Who is today's twenty-something? You are part of a diverse group confronting the challenges of the future and the welfare of times to come. Twenty-somethings have different issues than the Baby Boomers ever had. Generation X are those born between 1965 and about 1981 and is succeeded by Generation Y, those born roughly between 1980 and 1995.

We invite you to join us on the journey of twentysomething magazine by flipping through the pages of articles that interest you. Whether you’re decided on a new vs. used car and what suits you best or deciding if earning an online degree is a good idea or not, we have the articles that will help you with those decisions. We are a focus-driven magazine that gives you a voice through the community and is specially suited towards your interests and future endeavors.

Generation X is noted as one of the most entrepreneurial and tech-friendly generations in American history as they've driven a majority of the Internet's growth and ingenuity from day one. For instance, Amazon®, GoogleTM, Yahoo®, MySpace®, DellTM, and countless other billion-dollar tech companies were founded by American Gen Xers.

Generation Y is reaping the rewards of the technology era by growing up in society owning a computer, cell phone, Instant Messaging, using websites as the primary source of world-related news, owning and reading blogs, downloading music and own some type of portable music and/or video device such as an iPod.

Today’s twenty-something is extremely focused on the idea of "balance" – between careers, families, and fulfilling dreams. As a community magazine, we want to showcase the positive twenty-something and how you are achieving more in your generation than ever before. As an 18 to 29-year-old, you have set goals and plans, and twentysomething magazine would like to make an effort to enforce those achievements.

We hope you enjoy the premiere issue of twentysomething magazine and look forward to hearing from you! We welcome comments and/or Letters to the Publisher, at letters@twentysomethingonline.net.
